It really depends how often you will be wearing this ring and under what circumstances. If you will be wearing it daily to work, etc., the plating will not last for long, but if you will only be wearing it for special occasions taking good care of it and storing it in the box jewelry ring box (not letting it roll around), it will last for well over a year (we have customer who come to get these re-plated once every 2-5 years for example). For daily wear we do not recommend plated rings, if you really like this style please consider purchasing it in white, yellow or rose gold (not black rhodium plated).
